The Silent Oscars: 1920 (Unofficial)

It's easy to see in retrospect that 1920 was a pivotal year in film history. Buster Keaton began directing his own movies, Douglas Fairbanks invented the modern movie action hero and the Germans introduced the world to Expressionism, a style that would influence the look and feel of movies for at least a decade.
